CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS ! The third session of the Fondation Scelles awards against sexual exploitation has come to an end

Last June 24th, The 2016 Scelles Foundation Awards giving ceremony took place in the solemn Paris Bar library, in the presence of the candidates, the professional jury, the partners and the public who were welcome by Ms Dominique Attias, the vice-leader of the barristers.
Once more, the Fondation Scelles Awards represent an achievement resulting from a collective action led by young people, university and high school students, lawyers, journalists, judges, photographers who appropriated this complex and often unknown issue, by key figures from the juridical, media and political spheres, who paid attention to these young people’s creations and by associative and educational managers who worked at transmitting values in relation with committing oneself and altruism.
To each of you, congratulations and thanks…
Congratulations to Beryl, Paola, Eloan, Aliénor, Hortense, Guillaume, Nadège, Margaux, Christophe…, the 9 2015-2016 award winners, for their professionalism and passion shown in the defence of our cause: through words and actions, they showed their opposition to the sexual exploitation of others, in particular of the most vulnerable ones.
Congratulations to the 36 university and high school students or young professionals who used their abilities and talents for the benefit of this commitment. The Scelles Foundation Awards had never before drawn so many candidates. Gérard Biard, the jury’s president, declared: « It’s very reassuring news to see these youth tackling these issues and addressing them with empathy ».
Congratulations to the public who showed, still this year, its significant interest for the Scelles Foundation Awards: over 6500 votes on the web for the 2016 Public award, over 4700 persons reached through Facebook, close to 4000 screenings of the videos of the 2015-2016 awards
Thank you to the members of the professional jury who, in spite of their high responsibilities have spared time so as to get involved in the project. A special thank to Gérard Biard, the jury’s president who is also the spokesman for Zéromacho and the chief editor of Charlie Hebdo and who always expressed his support and friendship.
Thank you to our partners among whom some have accompanied the Fondation Scelles since 2012 and whose support and fidelity have helped to make this 3rd session a success : : TheParis barristers’ conferences, the Île-de-France region, the Paris Belliard catering school in partnership with the artist Diariata N’Diaye, Lille college of journalism (ESJ Lille), Louis Lumière national school, the national College of Judges.
